8th grade: area of different shapes We are using different strategies that need to be expressed:
breaking the shape into pieces with 90 degree angles, making a shape with a 90 degree angle that includes the space you want to find the area of, and/or using formulas for rectangle and/or triangles appropriately with the 90 degree angles expressed.
